Last October, Microsoft launched a special event to showcase the new Windows 10 devices and while the two new flagship Lumia devices nor the futuristic Surface Book is yet to make it’s way to Malaysia.

Now the wait is over.


Microsoft Malaysia is now officially launching the Surface Pro 4.

This new model is an upgrade over last year’s Surface Pro 3 and can now be picked up through official retailers throughout the nation for a base price of RM3,999.

The new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will use Intel’s new 6th generation Skylake processors that will be able to improve its performance of up to 30% better than last year’s Surface Pro 3.

Besides that, the Surface Pro 4 can now be configured with up to 1TB of SSD storage and the base model now has 128GB of storage opposed to only 64GB on the Surface Pro 3.

While the overall design of the Surface Pro 4 hasn’t changed much in the past year, Microsoft is increasing the screen size of their 2-in-1 convertible from a 12″ display to a 12.3″ display and also bumping up the resolution to produce 267 PPI.


The new Surface Pen that magnetically attaches to the side of Surface Pro 4 and features a tail eraser on it.

Not included in the base price is the optional Type Cover which still looks the same but the keys are now more spread out and the glass trackpad is now bigger than ever.


Finally, the new Surface Pro 4 is running Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 Pro and will enjoy all the additional software features that the Surface Pen brings to the table like double clinking the button to launch Cortana.

At just 786g of weight, the Surface Pro 4 can be configured with either an Intel m3, i5 or i7 processor and the RAM can be upgraded to 16GB.

Not to forget, the Surface Pro 4 still features a single USB 3.0 port and a microSD card for your perusal.

The price actually comes with Microsoft Surface Pen (not included keyboard, Surface Pro 4 Type Cover – RM529).
