[Rumour] Will iPhone 6c Become The Budget Smartphone From Apple?

Reemerging rumors that Apple will be making a next-generation iPhone 5c have been confirmed by reputable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Ming-Chi Kuo has been known as the one who has a track record of successfully predicting what the Cupertino giant is planning on, Apple will release a new, smaller iPhone in the first half of 2016.

iPhone 6c

The new 4-inch budget smartphone will presumably be named the iPhone 6c.

If predictions prove to be correct, as Kuo usually is, Apple will release a total of three new iPhones in 2016.

Kuo reports the iPhone 6c will likely resemble the iPhone 5s, rather than the iPhone 5c, since Apple’s first try at a cheaper smartphone option didn’t do as well as anticipated.

As for the specs, the iPhone 6c screen will be 4-inches, have an A9 processor, an aluminum metal casing instead of plastic, NFC capabilities, Touch ID, but will not have 3D touch.

“As there is still demand for a 4-inch iPhone, we believe Apple will upgrade this product line. Because the iPhone 5s is more popular than the iPhone 5c, we think Apple is likely to launch an upgraded iPhone 5s. We predict Apple will mass-produce this new 4-inch iPhone in 1H16 with metal casings. In order to make the current iOS 9 or next-generation iOS 10 run smoothly, Apple may adopt an A9 chip for this new phone.”

The 3D Concept

3D Future has come out with few 3D concepts which feels like natural next generation of Apple’s Budget Smartphone with a plastic-backed carbon copy of the iPhone 5.

iPhone 6c is likely a combination of iPhone 6s and iPhone 5c.
